Fortunately, all 40 individuals are reported to be safe, receiving a supply of oxygen through a pipeline. Additionally, efforts have been made to provide them with water and food items.
The rescue teams have successfully removed 20 meters of the collapsed slab, creating an opening in the tunnel. However, about 35 meters still need to be cleared to complete the escape passage for the workers.
Visuals from the site depict substantial concrete debris obstructing the tunnel, with twisted metal bars from the broken roof adding to the challenge.
The trapped workers come from various states, including Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Odisha, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
