A doctor from Quetta, who contracted the Congo virus, passed away while being transported to Karachi for treatment on Sunday. The Quetta Health Department had decided to transfer eight Congo virus patients to Karachi for advanced medical care.
Junior doctor Dr. Arif expressed concerns about the lack of government support for healthcare facilities as the ambulance convoy was halted for three hours at Windar. In response, the Health Department issued an official statement, stating that the patients would be transferred to Karachi’s Agha Khan Hospital at the government’s expense, accompanied by a medical team of doctors, nurses, and paramedics.
