Interim IT Minister Aims for $20B IT Exports

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Dr. Umar Saif, the newly appointed Caretaker Federal Minister for Information Technology & Telecommunication and Science & Technology, has expressed his determination to significantly boost ICT exports in Pakistan. He aims to raise ICT exports from the current $2.62 billion to a range of $10 to $20 billion.

Upon assuming office, Dr. Saif was introduced to the officers and staff of the ministry and received a detailed briefing on the ministry’s ongoing, completed, and future projects. He emphasized that despite the limited powers and responsibilities of the caretaker government, it’s essential to monitor and manage crucial ministerial affairs.

Dr. Saif highlighted his commitment to implementing the Digital Pakistan Vision and enhancing the stability and growth of the IT and telecommunication sectors.
