Chaudhry Shafay Hussain told journalists in Lahore today that the meeting between Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi went well.
“He [Pervaiz Elahi] wants to return, but a person in Spain is not agreeing to his return to the PML-Q and is still showing support for the PTI,” Shafay stated, without mentioning Moonis Elahi.
“Moonis Elahi had already said one year ago that they are the same family despite their independence in political decisions,” he continued. According to the PML-Q general secretary, they must make their own decisions regarding their political careers.”

He claimed Shujaat had formally invited Pervaiz back to the PML-Q. He also stated that the PML-Q and the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) may agree on seat adjustments in the future.
Shafay stated that more political figures will join the PML-Q after Eid.
During a jail visit to Pervaiz Elahi, President of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, the president of the PML-Q, persuaded him to return to his previous party.
According to trustworthy sources, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and his son, Salik Hussain, conducted an hour-long exclusive meeting with Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi in Camp Jail, Lahore.
During the encounter, Chaudhry Shujaat and his son conveyed their worry for Pervaiz Elahi’s well-being, inquired about his health, and asked him to return to his previous party in order to better the country’s political situation.
According to sources, Pervaiz Elahi denies any intention of leaving the PTI and has underlined his devotion to the party.
Furthermore, it was told to Pervaiz Elahi during the discussion that the family’s involvement had nothing to do with the ongoing legal cases against him. Pervaiz Elahi is currently facing charges of improper appointments in the Punjab Assembly and has been arrested in connection with the matter.
