The Austrian capital was also ranked first in 2018, 2019, and 2022. No German city reached the top ten, however Frankfurt was seventh last year.
Copenhagen, Denmark’s capital, remained in second place, followed by Melbourne and Sydney, Australia, and Vancouver, Canada. Zurich, which had previously been placed third, has dropped to sixth place in the new rankings.

This year’s index ranked Paris 24th. According to the study’s authors, the enormous protests against pension reform impacted the French capital’s rating, which was ranked 19th last year.
