In an interview, the captain of the 1992 World Cup-winning team stated that the Lahore-born cricketer shows exceptional potential and skills and has been rapidly progressing.
Imran Khan went on to say that the 28-year-old batsman has been constantly performing and that he will easily exceed the former Indian skipper in every batting record.
I believe Virat Kohli and Babar Azam are in the same league. Babar Azam is capable of easily outperforming Virat Kohli. From what I’ve seen, he’s that excellent.

Imran Khan lauded Babar Azam earlier this year, saying he possesses the traits of talent, temperament, and technique essential for a successful batter.
Imran Khan revealed last year that he encouraged the then-PCB chief, Ehsan Mani, to choose Babar Azam as national team captain in October 2019.
Imran lauded Babar’s captaincy, saying, “Having him as the captain makes a lot of sense because you want your captain to be world-class so that he commands respect.”
Babar Azam has recently eclipsed Kohli in a number of batting records across formats, including dethroning him from the top spot in the ICC ODI batting rankings.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
