[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]The Sindh High Court (SHC) has issued an order preventing the state government from recruiting new teachers.

The court received a petition contesting teacher recruitment under the hard area policy and requesting a unified teacher recruiting strategy.

The judgement was issued by Ahmed Ali Shaikh, Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court, at the hearing of the petition challenging the province’s teacher recruitment policy.

Sindh’s education secretary, Akbar Leghari, appeared before the court, where the Chief Justice questioned the recruiting policy’s division between hard and soft sectors.

When questioned about the toughest zones, Leghari listed Ghora Bari, Thanu Bula Khan, Kharo Chaan, and other localities.

However, the Chief Justice questioned Thanu Bula Khan’s designation as a hard area because it is located in Jamshoro district, which is home to three important universities in Pakistan.

Taking these concerns into consideration, the SHC court ordered a halt to further teacher recruitment in the province under the current strategy, claiming that such acts were merely for political advantage. The case has been rescheduled for the third week of August for further proceedings.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
