This feature was previously available only to Android users, but it is now available on iPhone devices as well.

WhatsApp users can now use the voice status feature by going to the ‘Status’ section and clicking the ‘Pencil’ icon next to ‘My Status’. Selecting this will take you to the status update page, where you can use the ‘Mic’ icon at the bottom right of the screen to record up to 30 seconds of voice notes or messages.
Using WhatsApp’s new private audio selection feature, users can specify who should and should not be able to see the voice status.
Previously, the audience who should see the status had to be manually selected from the app’s Settings menu, and it became active for all statuses after a few seconds. The private audio selector can now be configured for specific statuses, which is a huge improvement for its users.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
