The British pound recorded a larger decline against the rupee. It closed at 373.6509 after falling by 20.90 paisas.
The Australian dollar also lost value against the local currency. It closed at 197.5778, down by 14.66 paisas.
The Canadian dollar recorded the biggest decline among the listed major currencies. It closed at 199.4191 after losing 28.08 paisas.
The Malaysian ringgit also weakened against the rupee. It ended the day at 67.9371, showing a decline of 8.19 paisas.
The Chinese yuan closed at 41.3098 against the Pakistani rupee. It declined by 3.77 paisas during the session.
The UAE dirham remained largely stable against the local currency. It closed at 75.4975 after losing only 0.20 paisa.
The Saudi riyal also moved slightly lower against the rupee. It closed at 73.8232 after declining by 1.28 paisas.
The continued gains have kept the PKR on a prolonged positive streak. The latest performance extends the currency’s record of daily appreciation.
