IESCO Announces Power Suspension Schedule for Saturday

The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has announced scheduled power interruptions for Saturday. The outages will affect several areas across its service region.

The planned suspensions are linked to maintenance and development work. IESCO said electricity could return earlier if the work finishes ahead of schedule.

In the Islamabad Circle, power supply will remain suspended from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. in several areas. These include Faisal Masjid, Ayub Market, HC-I and HC-II.

G-9/4, SUPARCO, T&T, PTCL, G-8/1 and G-8 will also be affected. G-8 Markaz and Marvi areas are included in the schedule.

Electricity will also remain unavailable from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. in several other areas. These include IT Park, Scheme-II, Kund Rajgan, King Hammad and Chatta Bakhtawar.

The Jhelum Circle will also experience scheduled power interruptions. Supply will be suspended from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. in several locations.

Affected areas include Chamala, City Housing, Sanghoi and Safdar Shaheed. Nathwala, F-2 Chip Board, Langarpur and New Cantt Jhelum are also included.

Other affected areas include Saeela, Nougran, Khai Kulia and Pakhwal. Industrial and F-10 Kala Base areas will also face the scheduled interruption.

In the Chakwal Circle, electricity will remain suspended from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. The affected areas include Abdullah Pur, Jalal Pur and Sagharpur.

The CWO area will also experience an interruption during the same period. These outages are part of IESCO’s planned maintenance activities.

The GSO Circle will face interruptions at several different times. A 132kV circuit breaker in Islamabad will undergo work from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m.

The work will affect the 132kV Zero Point G-13 circuit. Further maintenance will take place on major transmission lines during the day.

From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., work will affect the 132kV AWC HMC Taxila line. The 132kV Sangjani-Burhan line will also be affected.

Another maintenance window is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. It will affect the 132kV Kahuta City-Palandri and New Wah-Bahtermore lines.

Related earth switches and surrounding areas will also be affected by the work. IESCO has advised consumers to plan accordingly.

The company apologized for the temporary disruption caused by the scheduled work. It said power could be restored before the announced times.

IESCO regularly schedules such shutdowns for system maintenance and development. Recent schedules have also included multiple feeders and transmission lines across its service region.

Consumers in the affected areas should prepare for the scheduled interruptions. They can also monitor IESCO’s official updates for any changes.

The latest schedule covers multiple circles and several transmission facilities. The planned work is intended to support maintenance and development of the electricity network.
