A media report has claimed that Islamabad police discovered several studios allegedly being used to produce adult content during a raid conducted on August 9, 2026.
The raid was conducted after police received a complaint related to the alleged sale of alcohol at a residential building in the federal capital.
During the initial search, officers reportedly found a large quantity of beer and other alcoholic beverages inside the building.
As police continued searching the premises, they allegedly discovered several studios operating inside the residential building.
According to police, the studios were allegedly being used for the production of adult videos. The reported activity had continued for around six months.
More than 500 foreign nationals were reportedly present at the premises when police conducted the operation.
The individuals reportedly included citizens of China, Vietnam and Indonesia. Police later took 284 foreign nationals into custody.
The detainees reportedly included 60 women. Due to the large number of people found inside, police converted the building into a temporary sub-jail.
Police also said some key suspects allegedly linked to the activities managed to flee during the raid.
The detained Chinese nationals have approached a court in connection with the case. They are reportedly being represented by lawyer Sher Afzal Marwat.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Interior has reportedly cancelled the visas of all 284 detained foreign nationals.
According to the information provided, the detainees have been issued exit permits valid for 12 days following the cancellation of their visas.
Authorities are continuing legal proceedings related to the detainees and the activities allegedly taking place inside the building.
Police are also investigating the individuals who allegedly operated the studios and determining their roles in the reported activities.
The reported discovery has raised concerns about the alleged use of residential buildings for unlawful activities in Islamabad.
However, the allegations remain subject to investigation and legal proceedings. Authorities are expected to take further action as the case develops.
