The court, which was hearing a case of incitement to mutiny against state institutions filed against the PTI chief, expressed displeasure with his absence from the courtroom.
IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq inquired about the petitioner’s whereabouts, to which Imran’s counsel Naeem Haider Panjotha responded that Imran was unable to appear in court today and had thus filed an exemption application.

When the chief justice inquired about the application, the counsel stated that it had been submitted.
Justice Farooq stated that if Imran did not appear in court on time for the hearing today, his interim bail would be revoked, and that the court had been made a mockery of.
The hearing was then adjourned until Imran appeared in court.
The former prime minister had petitioned the IHC to vacate the FIR filed against him at the Ramna Police Station in the federal capital on charges of inciting rebellion in state institutions.
Last week, the high court granted Imran protective bail until May 3, and Justice Farooq approved his bail on the condition that surety bonds in the amount of Rs100,000 be submitted.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
