Chery Tiggo 7, 8 & 9 PHEV Prices Jump by Rs20 Lakh

Chery has increased the prices of its plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) in Pakistan following the government’s decision to impose higher sales tax on hybrid vehicles. Like several other automakers, the company has adjusted its pricing to reflect the additional tax burden, with the biggest increase exceeding Rs2 million on one of its flagship models.

To reduce the immediate impact on customers, Chery has launched a limited-time promotional offer before its revised retail prices become fully effective. During this promotional period, buyers can purchase the vehicles at discounted rates compared to the upcoming official prices.

The Chery Tiggo 7 PHEV, which was previously available for Rs9.499 million, is now being offered at a promotional price of Rs9.999 million. Once the campaign ends, the vehicle’s official retail price will increase to Rs10.949 million.

Similarly, the Tiggo 8 PHEV has also received a significant price revision. The SUV was earlier priced at Rs11.299 million, but customers can currently buy it for Rs11.499 million under the promotional offer. After the promotion expires, its permanent price will rise to Rs12.999 million.

The largest adjustment has been made to the Tiggo 9 PHEV. The premium SUV, previously priced at Rs13.694 million, now carries a promotional price of Rs14.299 million. However, its official retail price will climb to Rs15.749 million once the limited-time offer concludes, representing an increase of more than Rs2 million over its previous price.

The revised pricing comes after the government’s recent changes to the tax structure for hybrid vehicles, prompting multiple automotive brands to update their price lists. Chery’s promotional campaign offers temporary savings for interested buyers, but the full revised prices will apply after the offer ends, making the vehicles considerably more expensive than before.
