The Punjab government has reportedly made the B-Form number a mandatory requirement for students registering for Grade 5 and Grade 8 board examinations, according to media reports. The new requirement is aimed at ensuring accurate student records and improving the verification process.
Under the revised registration policy, schools will not be able to complete a student’s registration unless a valid B-Form number is entered into the system. Officials say the online registration portal has automatically marked students who were previously registered without a B-Form as unverified, making it necessary for schools to update their information.
Education authorities have directed all schools to immediately revise the records of affected students by adding their correct B-Form details. Without this information, the registration process will remain incomplete, which could prevent students from appearing in the upcoming board examinations.
School administrations, including principals, head teachers, teachers, and registration in-charges, have been instructed to complete the pending updates as soon as possible. Officials have stressed that there will be no relaxation in the new requirement and have urged institutions to avoid last-minute delays.
According to reports, the final deadline for submitting registrations is August 8. After this date, authorities will no longer accept new registrations or incomplete applications.
Education officials have advised schools to carefully review all student records and ensure that every eligible student has a valid B-Form linked to their registration before the deadline expires. They believe the move will help strengthen the verification system, reduce errors in student data, and improve the overall examination registration process.
Parents have also been encouraged to cooperate with schools by providing their children’s B-Form numbers promptly so registrations can be completed on time. Authorities have warned that students with incomplete records may face difficulties during the board examination registration process if the required documents are not submitted before the closing date.
