The Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation (PMDC) has announced a paid internship program for final-year and final-semester students enrolled in HEC-recognized colleges and universities. The initiative aims to provide students with practical workplace experience while offering a monthly stipend of Rs25,000.
According to the official advertisement, the internship program will last for two months. Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of Rs25,000 during the internship period, allowing them to gain hands-on experience in their respective fields before completing their academic studies.
The internship is open to students from a wide range of academic disciplines. Eligible fields include Mining Engineering, Geology, Marketing, Finance, Procurement, Human Resources, Legal Studies, and Information Technology. PMDC said the program is designed to help students develop professional skills and prepare for future careers.
To be eligible, applicants must be studying in the final semester or final year of their degree program at an HEC-recognized institution. Candidates are also required to have a minimum CGPA of 3.0 or an equivalent academic record.
PMDC has announced internship opportunities across several departments. Two seats are available for Mining Engineering students and two for Geology students. One seat each has been allocated for Finance, Procurement, Marketing, Information Technology and Legal, while two seats are available in the Human Resources department.
For Finance, applicants may hold qualifications such as a Master’s in Finance, MBA Finance, ACCA, ACMA or CMA. Procurement applicants should have a Master’s in Supply Chain or an equivalent qualification. Human Resources and Marketing candidates must possess relevant Master’s or MBA degrees, while IT applicants should have a BS in Computer Science or Information Technology. Legal applicants must hold an LLB or an equivalent qualification.
Interested students can apply online through the official PMDC website. The corporation said selection will be made strictly on merit, and only shortlisted candidates will be invited for a test or interview. PMDC also clarified that incomplete or late applications will not be considered, and no travel or daily allowance (TA/DA) will be provided to candidates appearing for the selection process.
