IESCO Announces Power Outages Across Isl, Rawalpindi Today

The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has announced a scheduled power suspension program for Saturday due to routine maintenance and development work. The temporary outages will affect several areas in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum and the GSO Circle.

According to an IESCO spokesperson, electricity supply will remain suspended during different time slots to allow maintenance work on feeders and transmission lines. The company said power will be restored as soon as the work is completed, possibly before the announced schedule.

In the Islamabad Circle, electricity will remain suspended from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the Tramri, Lehtrar and ISI feeders. From 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., outages will affect the Faisal Masjid, Ayub Market, HC I, HC II, G-9/4, SUPARCO, T&T, PTCL, G-8/1, G-8, G-8 Markaz and Marvi feeders.

In the Rawalpindi Cantt Circle, the Ghazan Khan feeder will remain without electricity from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Meanwhile, in the Attock Circle, power supply will remain suspended from 5:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Bahtar More and Kohistan Enclave feeders, while the Fawara Chowk feeder will face outages from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

The Chakwal Circle will experience power outages from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the Khanpur, Jhand Khan Zada, Abdullah Pur, Jalalpur, Sagharpur and CWO feeders. In the Jhelum Circle, electricity will remain suspended during the same hours in the City Housing, Sanghoi, Safdar Shaheed, Nathwala and Langarpur feeders.

IESCO also announced maintenance work in the GSO Circle. Power supply will remain suspended from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the 132kV AWC HMC Taxila and 132kV Sangjani Burhan transmission lines. Additional outages from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. will affect the 132kV Chakwal Bhagwal Talagang, 132kV Kahuta City Palandri and 132kV New Wah Bahtermore lines, along with connected earth switches and nearby areas.

The power utility apologized for the temporary inconvenience caused to consumers. IESCO said electricity supply will be restored before the scheduled time if maintenance and development work is completed earlier than expected.
