The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has invited applications from Pakistani and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) nationals for the Omani Scholarship Program for Undergraduate Studies for the 2026–27 academic year. The scholarships are being offered by the Government of the Sultanate of Oman under the Cultural and Scientific Cooperation Program, providing eligible students with an opportunity to pursue higher education in Oman.
According to HEC, the commission will serve as the primary nominating agency for Pakistani candidates applying for the scholarship program. The initiative aims to promote academic cooperation between Pakistan and Oman while giving talented students access to quality higher education at Omani institutions.
HEC has announced that applicants must possess a valid Undergraduate Studies Admission Test (USAT) score to be considered for nomination. The commission stated that only USAT scores from tests taken on or after June 13, 2025, will be accepted. The score must also remain valid until June 13, 2026, in line with the scholarship requirements.
The commission clarified that it will not conduct a separate USAT examination specifically for this scholarship cycle. Therefore, students interested in applying must already have a valid USAT result that meets the minimum eligibility criteria. Candidates who do not possess a valid score will not be considered during the nomination process.
Applications must be submitted online through the official HEC portal. The commission has advised applicants to carefully complete the online application form and ensure that all required academic documents and supporting certificates are uploaded before the closing date. Incomplete or inaccurate applications may not be considered during the evaluation process.
The Omani Scholarship Program is designed to strengthen educational and cultural relations between Pakistan and the Sultanate of Oman. It also aims to provide deserving students with international learning opportunities, helping them develop academic knowledge, professional skills, and cross-cultural experience that can contribute to their future careers.
HEC has encouraged eligible students to review the complete eligibility criteria and application guidelines before submitting their applications. Interested candidates can obtain detailed information through the official scholarship announcement and ensure they meet all requirements before applying.
The deadline for submitting online applications is July 13, 2026. Students are advised to complete the application process well before the closing date to avoid any last-minute technical issues or delays.
