HEC Invites Applications for Pak-France PERIDOT Mobility Grant Programme

The HEC has invited faculty members from public and private universities across Pakistan to apply for Phase XIII of the Pak-France PERIDOT Mobility Grant Programme. The initiative aims to strengthen academic cooperation between Pakistan and France through researcher exchange and joint scientific projects.

The programme is jointly implemented by the HEC, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development (MAEDI), and the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESR). It promotes scientific and technological collaboration between researchers from both countries.

According to the HEC, the grant supports the mobility of researchers and encourages new partnerships between Pakistani and French universities. It also helps connect research laboratories and higher education institutions working on shared academic interests.

For the latest phase, three priority research areas have been selected. These fields are expected to address important global and national challenges through collaborative research.

The priority areas include:

  • Health Sciences
  • Sustainable Energy, Agriculture and Food Security
  • Economics of Climate Change

Faculty members interested in the programme must submit a joint research proposal with a French faculty member. This collaboration is a mandatory requirement for all applicants seeking funding under the programme.

The HEC has also made it clear that applicants must first submit their joint proposal to Campus France. Only after completing this step can they submit their application through the HEC online portal.

The online application portal officially opened on July 6, 2026. Eligible researchers can submit their proposals until September 30, 2026, at 4:00 PM Pakistan Standard Time (PST).

Officials have advised applicants to begin the process early to ensure they meet all requirements before the deadline. Incomplete applications or proposals submitted after the closing date may not be considered.

The Pak-France PERIDOT Mobility Grant Programme is part of the Hubert Curien Partnership (PHC). The programme is designed to support international research cooperation through academic exchange and researcher mobility.

Over the years, the initiative has provided Pakistani researchers with opportunities to work alongside French experts. These collaborations have contributed to scientific research, innovation, and stronger academic partnerships between the two countries.

The HEC said the programme continues to play an important role in expanding international research opportunities for Pakistani universities. It also helps researchers build long-term professional relationships with leading institutions in France.

Interested faculty members are encouraged to review the eligibility criteria and application guidelines before submitting their proposals. Complete information, application procedures, and other details are available on the official HEC website.
