As the Men in Green have piled on the runs over the last four years, Imam-ul-Haq, Fakhar Zaman, and the top ODI batter in the world, Babar Azam, have formed a strong top order.

The Pakistani top order has been in sublime form, averaging 54.4 runs per innings and reaching 14 hundreds in just 24 games. Out of these fourteen centuries, Babar Azam has scored seven, Fakhar Zaman five, and Imam-ul-Haq two.

Comparatively speaking, India, who boasts one of the best batting lineups in the world, has averaged 46.9 runs per innings for their top three batters since the 2019 World Cup, with 14 hundreds in 54 games. Despite the strength and depth of India’s batting lineup, Pakistan’s top order outclasses it in terms of sheer dominance.

The average runs per innings for South Africa and Australia, two other significant cricketing nations, are 43.4 and 42.3, respectively. Despite the fact that they have each scored 11 century in their individual encounters, their averages are much lower than those of Pakistan and India.

The top three players’ highest batting averages since the 2019 ODI World Cup are as follows:

Pakistan will be seeking to maintain their hegemony in the game’s shortest format as the ODI World Cup is set for later this year. In order for them to succeed, their top order will be essential, and if they can keep up their remarkable form, Pakistan will be a force to be reckoned with.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
