Price of Gold Continues Record-Breaking Run, Aiming for Rs. 218,800 Per Tola

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]On Thursday, the price of gold in Pakistan continued its streak of all-time highs by climbing by Rs. 150 per tola.

Data provided by the All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA) show that the price of gold (24 carats) increased by Rs. 150 per tola to Rs. 218 800 and by Rs. 129 per gramme to Rs. 187 586. In less than two years, the price of gold in Pakistan has more than doubled. The price of gold has increased significantly more domestically than internationally over the past five years, according to an analysis of both global and local patterns.

In Pakistan, the price of a tola of gold was slightly over Rs. 56,000 at the beginning of 2018, but it increased to Rs. 208,000 a tola at the beginning of 2023.

With spot gold up 0.4 percent to $1,996.43 per ounce at 12:10 GMT and US gold futures up 0.5 percent to $2,006.10, gold prices increased on the global market on Thursday.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
