KP Launches Fast-Track System for Domicile Certificates

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has launched a new fast-track Domicile issuance system aimed at making the process quicker, more transparent, and more convenient for citizens across the province.

The provincial cabinet has approved significant reforms to modernize the Domicile application process. As part of these changes, the system will be integrated with the Dastak mobile application and the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) database. The move is expected to simplify verification procedures and reduce unnecessary delays faced by applicants.

According to government officials, the reforms are being implemented under a business process re-engineering framework. The initiative is designed to improve efficiency, enhance transparency, and provide better services to the public.

Under the revised mechanism, applicants whose information can be verified through NADRA records will be able to receive their Domicile certificate within a single day. This fast-track service will also apply to individuals who have not changed their residential address during the last three years.

For cases where applicants have changed their address within the previous one to three years, authorities will complete verification within three days. Meanwhile, applications involving more recent address changes will undergo detailed scrutiny by district-level committees, with decisions expected within ten days.

Officials said that linking the domicile software with the Dastak app and NADRA’s CRVS system will help automate much of the verification process. This integration is expected to minimize paperwork, reduce manual processing, and improve overall service delivery.

To make the process even more accessible, citizens will be able to complete biometric verification through the NADRA Pak ID application or by visiting designated E-Sahulat centers. This will provide applicants with multiple options for identity verification without unnecessary inconvenience.

The KP government believes the new system will significantly improve the issuance of Domicile certificates by ensuring faster processing times, greater transparency, and easier access to services. Officials added that the reforms reflect the government’s commitment to using digital technology to improve public administration and deliver citizen-friendly services across the province.
