Gold Prices Fall in Pakistan - Check Latest Rates

Gold prices in Pakistan moved lower on Friday, reflecting a decline in international bullion markets. The latest figures released by the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association showed a noticeable reduction in local gold rates compared to the previous trading session.

According to the association, the price of gold per tola dropped by Rs1,469, bringing the new rate to Rs467,816. Likewise, the price of 10 grams of gold decreased by Rs1,323 and settled at Rs401,012.

The downward trend was also observed in the global market. Internationally, the price of gold fell by $14 per ounce, with the precious metal trading at around $4,453 per ounce. Market analysts attribute such fluctuations to changing global economic conditions, investor sentiment, and movements in international financial markets.

Silver prices in Pakistan also registered a decline. The per tola price of silver decreased by Rs67, taking the new rate to Rs7,730. The fall in silver prices mirrored the broader trend seen across precious metals during the trading session.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves remained above the $22.6 billion mark at the end of May 2026. Data released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) showed that the country’s total liquid foreign reserves stood at $22.636 billion as of May 29.

The reserves held by the central bank increased by $43 million during the week, reaching $17.190 billion. However, foreign exchange reserves maintained by commercial banks recorded a decline. Bank-held reserves fell by $54 million and stood at $5.446 billion.

A week earlier, on May 22, Pakistan’s total liquid reserves were reported at approximately $22.647 billion. Of that amount, the SBP held $17.147 billion, while commercial banks accounted for nearly $5.500 billion. Despite minor weekly changes, Pakistan’s overall foreign reserves remained largely stable.
