The Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC) has announced a revised timetable for the National Registration Examination (NRE) Step II, updating the schedule that was previously shared through a public notice issued on May 21, 2026.
According to a fresh notification released by the council on June 2, candidates will now appear for the examination on July 4-5 and July 11-12, 2026. The change affects the earlier examination plan and provides applicants with additional time to prepare for the important licensing assessment.
Under the original schedule, the NRE Step II examination was planned for June 27-28 and July 4-5. However, the council has now partially modified that announcement and introduced the new examination dates. The updated schedule has been officially communicated to ensure that all eligible candidates are aware of the revised arrangements.
The PMDC stated that the latest notification serves as a partial amendment to the notice issued in May. The council also advised applicants to stay informed by regularly checking its official website, where any future updates, instructions, or examination-related information will be published.
The National Registration Examination is a mandatory assessment conducted by PMDC for medical graduates seeking professional registration and licensing in Pakistan. Successfully passing the examination is an essential requirement for candidates who wish to practice medicine legally within the country.
Medical graduates preparing for the examination are encouraged to take note of the revised dates and adjust their study plans accordingly. The council emphasized the importance of following official announcements to avoid confusion regarding examination schedules and procedures.
With the revised timetable now in place, PMDC aims to facilitate a smooth examination process while ensuring that candidates receive timely information. Aspirants are advised to monitor official channels for any further developments related to the National Registration Examination and other regulatory matters concerning medical registration and licensing.
