Pakistan’s crossover SUV market is set to welcome another new entrant as Changan UNI-S is expected to make its local debut in the coming weeks. The launch is part of a broader trend of automakers introducing new models to strengthen their presence in the country’s increasingly competitive automotive sector.
According to the latest Upcoming Automobile Launch Tracker released by Arif Habib Limited (AHL), the Changan UNI-S is likely to be introduced in Pakistan in June 2026. The crossover has already been showcased locally, signaling that its commercial launch may not be far away.
The upcoming model will mark the first vehicle from Changan’s UNI lineup to enter the Pakistani market. Industry observers believe the launch could help the company expand its footprint in the crossover category, which has seen growing demand from consumers seeking a blend of SUV styling, practicality, and modern features.
Internationally, the Changan UNI-S is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged BlueWhale petrol engine. The powertrain is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, delivering a balance of performance and efficiency. According to global specifications, the engine generates up to 178 horsepower and 280 Nm of torque.
The crossover has attracted attention in several international markets due to its modern exterior design, advanced technology features, and sporty driving characteristics. These attributes are expected to make it a strong competitor in Pakistan’s expanding crossover segment.
