The Overseas programme is open to students of Pakistani origin living abroad as well as foreign nationals. Officials said the initiative is designed to give participants direct exposure to public policy, governance, development planning, and national projects in Pakistan.
According to the official announcement, selected students will work under the guidance of senior government officials and experienced experts. Participants will gain hands-on experience and learn how important national projects are managed.
The Overseas Pakistanis Summer Scholars Program will be offered in two separate tracks. One track will continue for six weeks, while the second track will last eight weeks. Officials believe the flexible duration will allow more students to participate according to their schedules.
Students selected for the programme will receive a stipend of up to Rs120,000. The financial support is intended to help participants manage their expenses during the programme period.
The application deadline for the Overseas programme is June 15, 2026. The sessions are scheduled to begin from July 1, 2026. Interested applicants can submit their forms through the official online application portal.

The launch of the Overseas Pakistanis Summer Scholars Program reflects efforts to involve overseas youth in Pakistan’s development process. The government hopes the initiative will strengthen links between Pakistan and talented students living abroad.
The programme is also expected to help foreign participants understand Pakistan’s public sector and development goals more closely. Officials believe such initiatives can promote international collaboration and academic engagement.
