Tehran Warns US Forces against Strait of Hormuz Intervention

Tehran has issued a strong warning to the United States military, urging it to stay out of the Strait of Hormuz after Donald Trump announced plans for a mission aimed at freeing vessels affected by the ongoing conflict.

According to reports, Iranian military authorities delivered the warning on Monday, signaling a possible escalation in an already tense region. The statement came in response to comments from the White House indicating that U.S. forces could intervene to assist commercial ships currently stranded in the Gulf.

For more than two months, the Strait of Hormuz has remained a critical flashpoint in tensions involving the United States, Israel, and Iran. The situation has left numerous international crews stuck at sea, creating serious humanitarian and logistical challenges.

President Trump, while not providing detailed operational plans, stated that the United States intends to play a leading role in freeing vessels that have been unable to move since hostilities began. He highlighted the worsening conditions faced by stranded crews, noting shortages of food, water, and essential supplies.

The global shipping industry has raised increasing concern over the safety and well-being of hundreds of sailors caught in the crisis. The Strait, which handles a significant portion of the world’s oil shipments, has become difficult to navigate due to active conflict and threats such as naval mines.

Reports suggest several ships are now operating under emergency conditions, with limited access to fresh water and medical care as the situation continues.

Iranian officials, however, have described any potential U.S. intervention as a violation of sovereignty and a serious provocation. A military spokesperson warned that any American naval presence in the Strait would face a firm response, emphasizing that regional security should be managed by local powers.

Diplomatic efforts to establish a humanitarian passage for stranded vessels have so far failed, with both sides blaming each other. While Washington maintains its mission is focused on rescue, Tehran views it as a strategic move, raising fears of a possible naval confrontation in the coming days.
