Peshawar Zalmi win PSL 11 beating Hyderabad Kingsmen

Peshawar Zalmi secured the Pakistan Super League Season 11 title with a convincing five-wicket victory over Hyderabad Kingsmen in the final held at Gaddafi Stadium.

Chasing a modest target of 130 runs, Peshawar Zalmi completed the run chase comfortably in the 16th over, finishing at 130 for the loss of five wickets. The innings was led by an outstanding unbeaten knock of 56 runs from Aaron Hardie, while Abdul Samad provided strong support with a valuable 48. Other contributions came from Kusal Mendis (9), Mohammad Haris (6), and Michael Bracewell (4), while captain Babar Azam was dismissed without scoring.

On the bowling side for Hyderabad Kingsmen, Mohammad Ali stood out by taking three wickets, while Hunain Shah and Akif Javed chipped in with one wicket each.

Earlier in the match, Hyderabad Kingsmen, after being put in to bat first by Peshawar Zalmi, were bowled out for 129 runs in 18 overs. Saim Ayub played a key role with a top score of 54, while captain Marnus Labuschagne added 20 runs.

With the ball, Aaron Hardie delivered an exceptional all-round performance for Peshawar Zalmi, claiming four wickets and playing a crucial role in restricting the opposition. Nahid Rana supported well with two wickets, while Sufiyan Muqeem and Mohammad Basit picked up one wicket each.

The match showcased a dominant performance by Peshawar Zalmi, as they controlled both innings effectively. Their balanced effort with bat and ball ensured a well-deserved victory, highlighting their strong teamwork and consistency throughout the tournament.
