Lahore Traffic Police have completed traffic management plans for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11 final at Gaddafi Stadium, while strict security arrangements have also been implemented for players and officials.
The PSL 11 final will be held today in Lahore between Peshawar Zalmi and Hyderabad Kingsmen.
According to the Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore, 8 DSPs, 90 traffic inspectors, and over 500 traffic wardens will be on duty during the match. Five designated parking areas have also been set up for cricket fans.
The CTO added that 11 cranes have been deployed to tow improperly parked vehicles. Spectators can park at Government College for Boys and CBD Parking, while those arriving from Mughalpura and Garhi Shahu will use parking at Main Boulevard Gulberg Liberty.
Authorities confirmed that major roads including Mall Road, Jail Road, and Canal Road will remain open for traffic flow.
7,000 Police Personnel Deployed for Security
The Inspector General (IG) Punjab stated that Punjab Police are providing complete security to local and foreign players, officials, and spectators.
He said more than 7,000 police officers and personnel have been deployed for security duties during the final match.
The IG directed senior officers to personally supervise all security and traffic arrangements and instructed personnel to remain highly vigilant against suspicious activities.
He further said all relevant agencies are working together to ensure peaceful conduct of the PSL final.
The IG also ordered search and intelligence-based operations around players’ residences, routes, and the stadium area, along with deployment of snipers at the stadium and nearby high-rise buildings.
