Petrol prices in Pakistan have become increasingly unaffordable for the average consumer, with fuel rates reportedly reaching around Rs400 per litre. The continuous rise in fuel costs is now pushing many commuters to explore alternative transport options, especially electric vehicles that promise lower daily running expenses.
Despite growing interest in electric mobility, the high upfront cost of electric bikes has remained a major obstacle for buyers across the country. Even entry-level electric scooters are currently priced between Rs150,000 and Rs200,000, making them difficult to purchase outright for middle-income households and daily wage earners.
To address this issue, OKLA has introduced easy installment plans for its electric bike lineup in Pakistan. The company says the financing options are designed to make electric commuting more accessible for consumers looking to reduce their monthly fuel expenses and shift toward eco-friendly transport.
Under the new offer, customers can purchase selected OKLA electric bikes with 0% markup for up to six months. Buyers can also choose extended installment plans of up to 36 months, depending on their financial needs and preferred payment structure. Monthly installments reportedly start from around Rs7,500, depending on the selected model and financing duration.
The featured models included in the offer are Orbit (1000W), Onyx (1200W), OKT Eco and Graphene Series, along with the high-performance OMO Graphene 2000W model. The Orbit model is considered one of the most affordable options, while premium variants offer longer battery range, improved speed, and higher power output for urban commuting.
Industry observers believe the growing availability of installment-based EV financing could accelerate the adoption of electric bikes in Pakistan. With fuel prices continuing to rise and environmental concerns gaining attention, affordable financing options may help more consumers transition away from petrol-powered motorcycles in the coming months
