Babar Azam led Peshawar Zalmi to a record-breaking performance in Pakistan Super League Season 11, scoring an excellent century against Quetta Gladiators in Karachi.
After Quetta won the toss and chose to field first, Zalmi made full use of the batting-friendly conditions. Powered by a dominant innings from Babar Azam, the team posted a massive total of 255 for 3 in their 20 overs, registering the third-highest score in PSL history.
Babar Azam reached his century on the final delivery of the innings, completing the milestone with a two. His knock came off just 52 balls and included six boundaries and four sixes, marking his 12th century in T20 cricket. His composed yet aggressive innings anchored Zalmi’s batting display and set a daunting target.
Alongside him, Kusal Mendis played a crucial supporting role, scoring an impressive 83 runs and building strong partnerships that kept the momentum firmly with Zalmi throughout the innings.
On the bowling side, Quetta Gladiators struggled to contain the flow of runs. Usman Tariq, Abrar Ahmed, and Joseph managed to take one wicket each, but it was not enough to slow down the opposition.
Overall, Babar Azam’s outstanding century stood as the highlight of the match, driving Zalmi to one of the biggest totals ever recorded in PSL history and putting immense pressure on Quetta Gladiators.
