The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Rawalpindi has released a revised timetable for matriculation annual exams that were earlier postponed in Rawalpindi.
According to the updated notification, the Urdu examination will now take place on May 2 during the morning session, while the Geography paper will be conducted later the same day in the second shift. Officials confirmed that there will be no changes to examination centers or timings apart from the revised dates, ensuring minimal disruption for students.
A spokesperson for the board clarified that the new schedule has been carefully arranged to accommodate the missed exams without affecting the overall examination process. Students have been advised to follow the updated timetable and appear at their previously assigned centers.
The postponement had impacted 64 examination centers across Rawalpindi city. Authorities had temporarily suspended the exams after the district administration announced a local holiday due to security measures. These precautions were linked to sensitive arrangements in light of ongoing diplomatic developments involving Iran and the United States.
The board emphasized that the delay was limited only to Rawalpindi city. Examinations in other districts and suburban areas under its jurisdiction continued according to the original schedule without any interruption.
Officials reassured students and parents that all necessary steps have been taken to ensure a smooth and fair examination process following the disruption. The revised plan aims to maintain academic continuity while accommodating the exceptional circumstances that led to the postponement.
Students are encouraged to stay updated through official announcements and prepare accordingly for the rescheduled papers, as the board moves forward to complete the examination cycle efficiently.
