Bushra Bibi has been shifted back to Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi after undergoing eye surgery at a private hospital. The move comes after doctors confirmed that her condition is stable following the procedure.
According to jail sources, Bushra Bibi had been experiencing vision problems in her right eye. Medical specialists examined her condition and diagnosed retinal detachment. Doctors advised immediate surgery to prevent further complications.
Following the diagnosis, Bushra Bibi was transferred to a private hospital in Rawalpindi on Wednesday evening. She underwent all required medical tests before the operation. After giving consent, the surgery was successfully performed by Professor Dr. Nadeem Qureshi and his team.
Hospital officials stated that she remained under observation for one night after the procedure. Doctors monitored her recovery closely and later confirmed that her condition had improved. She was discharged once her health was considered stable.
After her discharge, Bushra Bibi was transported back to Adiala Jail under strict security arrangements. Authorities ensured all necessary measures were taken during her transfer. Doctors have also advised regular follow-up checkups as part of her recovery process.
Sources added that she met her daughters and sister in jail for over an hour. The meeting was arranged shortly after her return. Family visits are being allowed under specific guidelines set by the authorities.
Meanwhile, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan raised concerns about her health. In a statement, he said he was informed about her hospitalization late at night. He requested that the family be allowed regular visits and proper updates on her condition.
He also urged authorities to ensure timely medical care for both Bushra Bibi and Imran Khan. He emphasized that their legal rights should be respected in this regard.
It is worth noting that Imran Khan has also faced eye-related health issues recently. He has undergone medical treatment for blurred vision, including injections at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences.
