Weather Alert Rain and Snowfall Expected Across Pakistan

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a Weather alert for several parts of Pakistan. The warning covers the next 12 to 24 hours. Authorities expect rain, thunderstorms, and snowfall in different regions of the country.

According to officials, snowfall is likely in mountainous areas. These include Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Kashmir, and northern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Weather conditions in these regions may become harsh, especially at higher altitudes.

In other parts of the country, rain with possible hail is expected. Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa may experience changing Weather patterns. Islamabad and nearby areas are also likely to receive rainfall during this period.

Major cities such as Karachi, Quetta, and parts of interior Sindh may see scattered showers. Central and southern Punjab are also expected to receive rain. The Weather system is likely to affect both urban and rural areas.

The forecast shows a wider impact in northern and central Punjab. Areas including Murree, Galliyat, Islamabad, and Rawalpindi may face rain, windstorms, and thunderstorms. Districts such as Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, and Sargodha are also included in the alert.

Further areas like Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Lahore, and Sialkot are expected to receive rainfall with occasional gaps. The Weather activity may continue from the evening of April 6 to April 9. Some areas may also experience isolated hailstorms during this period.

Southern Punjab districts such as Multan, Bahawalpur, and Rahim Yar Khan may receive rain on April 6 and 7. Meanwhile, heavy rainfall and hailstorms are expected in Islamabad and the Pothohar region on April 7 and 8.

The NDMA has warned that these Weather conditions could create travel problems. Rain and snowfall may cause slippery roads and reduced visibility. This can disrupt traffic and increase the risk of accidents.

Authorities have advised citizens to remain cautious. Travelers should check road conditions before leaving home. People in affected areas are urged to follow safety guidelines and stay updated with official announcements.
