Punjab Approves Hundreds of New Jobs in Murree Police Force

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab, Rao Abdul Karim, has approved the recruitment of 371 vacant posts in Murree Police. Recruitment had been suspended since May 2025, and this approval ends the long pause.

According to the schedule, the process will begin on March 31. The final merit lists are expected to be displayed on April 15, after completing all recruitment stages.

District Police Officer (DPO) Murree, Dr. Mohammad Raza Tanveer, emphasized that the recruitment will follow strict merit-based criteria. He instructed candidates to report at 6 am at Bahria Town Rawalpindi, Phase 8, Fatima Jinnah Junction on their assigned dates.

The recruitment will start with a physical and screening phase from March 31 to April 3. Candidates will undergo height and chest measurements, running, and driving tests. The next stage is the review board, scheduled for April 4 and 5.

Written examinations will take place on April 9 and 10, followed by interviews from April 11 to April 14. The final merit list will be issued on April 15.

Dr. Tanveer warned that candidates found using political influence, recommendations, or other illegal methods will be disqualified. The department is committed to ensuring full transparency throughout the process.
