Facebook has announced a new program called “Creator Fast Track” to help creators grow their audience and earn money. The initiative offers guaranteed monthly payments and increased content visibility for participants.
The company said it paid nearly $3 billion to creators last year through various monetization programs. This marks a 35% increase compared to the previous year and is Facebook’s highest annual payout to date.
Program Targets Established Creators
The Creator Fast Track program is designed for creators who already have audiences on platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. It allows them to expand to Facebook without starting from zero.
Participants will get higher reach on eligible Reels to help grow their audience faster. Creators with 100,000 followers on other platforms can earn $1,000 per month. Those with over one million followers may receive $3,000 monthly. Payments are guaranteed for three months of content posting.
Access to Monetization Tools
Creators joining the program can use Facebook’s monetization features immediately. They do not need to meet usual requirements, such as minimum follower counts. This allows them to keep earning even after the three-month guaranteed payment period.
Facebook may continue boosting reach for creators who need more time to build a following. This ensures a smoother transition for new creators on the platform.
Content and Earnings
Creators do not need to produce completely new content. Existing videos and posts can be reused if they meet program requirements. This approach responds to feedback from creators hesitant to start fresh on Facebook.
The company reported that the number of creators earning over $10,000 annually increased by more than 30% last year. Sixty percent of payouts came from Reels, while the rest came from Stories, photos, and text posts.
New Metrics for Transparency
Facebook is introducing new metrics to help creators understand their earnings. The “qualified views” metric shows monetizable views, and the “earnings rate” estimates revenue per 1,000 views. A “non-qualified views” metric explains why some views do not earn money and offers guidance for improvement.
