Will Pakistan Suspend or Delay Hajj Flights amid Middle East Tensions?

Pakistan’s Federal Ministry of Religious Affairs has firmly dismissed reports suggesting that Hajj flights have been suspended, describing the circulating claims as false and misleading. Officials clarified that no such decision has been taken and urged the public to ignore rumors spreading on social media platforms.

In an official statement released on Sunday, the ministry’s spokesperson said preparations for the 2026 Hajj operation are moving forward according to schedule. The spokesperson emphasized that planning for the pilgrimage is continuing in line with the global situation and that authorities are actively coordinating arrangements to ensure a smooth travel process for Pakistani pilgrims.

The ministry reassured prospective pilgrims that Hajj flights have not been canceled or delayed. Officials stressed that the reports circulating online have no basis in reality and advised people not to rely on unverified information shared on social media or unofficial sources.

According to the ministry, the detailed schedule for Hajj flights will be officially announced shortly after Eid-ul-Fitr. Once finalized, the timetable will outline the departure dates and travel arrangements for pilgrims leaving Pakistan to perform Hajj in Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, government departments involved in the Hajj operation are working on several key logistical matters. These include finalizing accommodation arrangements for Pakistani pilgrims in the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah, along with transport, food services, and other facilities to ensure a comfortable and organized pilgrimage experience.

Authorities expressed confidence that all preparations for Hajj 2026 will be completed within the planned timeline. The ministry also reminded pilgrims to obtain information only from reliable and official sources.

Pilgrims have been advised to follow updates shared through the government’s official website and the Pak Hajj mobile application, which will provide verified announcements regarding Hajj flights, schedules, and other important guidelines related to the pilgrimage.
