The Islamabad Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory for Friday, March 13, warning residents of multiple road closures across Islamabad.
According to the advisory, access to the Red Zone will remain open only via Margalla Road, while all other entry routes will be closed. Roads leading to and from Iran Avenue will also remain shut for the day.
The Chand Tara Flyover from Srinagar Highway to Serena Chowk will stay closed. Other affected areas include roads from the Recep Tayyip Erdogan Flyover to Jinnah Avenue, Kulsum Plaza Chowk, the Seventh Avenue Bridge, and Fazl-e-Haq Road up to GEO Chowk.
Additionally, the road from Haji Camp Chowk to Islamabad Chowk, IJP Road from Gandam Godam to Faqir Aipee Road, and the service road from NESCOM towards I-10 will remain closed. Traffic from I-8 towards IJP Double Road is also shut from both sides.
Certain one-way closures include Club Road from Rawal Dam Chowk to Kashmir Chowk and a section of Park Road from Shehzad Town to Musharraf Chowk. Drivers are advised to plan alternative routes and allow extra travel time to avoid delays.
