Operation Ghazab Lil-Haq advances, Army seizes Central Afghan posts

Tensions flared along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border as reports confirmed that the main border post was seized amid intense clashes.

Sources stated that Operation Ghazab Lil-Haq is actively underway, with security forces taking control of a key strategic post previously held by Afghan Taliban forces following a sudden escalation.

According to official reports and media updates, Pakistani forces launched a strong counter-operation in response to alleged aggression. Eyewitness accounts and circulating footage reportedly show troops moving across the security fence near North Waziristan on 28 February 2026 and advancing toward the disputed location.

Security sources claimed that Taliban fighters withdrew after Pakistani forces reached the area. The military subsequently secured the central post, cleared nearby structures, and dismantled hostile positions. Reports indicate that flags associated with the opposing side were removed as part of the operation, which officials described as decisive and coordinated.

Despite these developments, the situation remains unstable. Authorities confirmed that Operation Ghazab Lil-Haq continues and will proceed until all operational goals are achieved. Both sides have accused each other of initiating aggression, while regional analysts warn that the ongoing confrontation could further intensify tensions along the border.

Officials have emphasized that security measures remain in place to prevent any further escalation and to maintain control over sensitive areas
