Sindh Reveals Dates for the Exciting Thar Jeep Rally

The Sindh Sports Department has announced that the Thar Jeep Rally will be held from March 26 to March 29 in the Thar Desert. Preparations for the rally track have already begun, and drivers from across the country are expected to participate.

The announcement was made following a meeting chaired by Munawar Ali Mahesar in Karachi. Officials finalized all arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of the event.

The four-day Thar Jeep Rally will feature competitions in three main categories: stock, ladies, and prepared vehicles. Vehicle registration and technical inspections will take place on March 26, followed by qualifying rounds on March 27. Stock category races are scheduled for March 28, while prepared category races and the closing ceremony will be held on March 29.

In addition to jeep competitions, organizers will include motorbike races, traditional horse and camel races, and cultural performances. A musical program will also be held as part of the celebrations, highlighting local traditions alongside motorsport excitement.

Officials said the rally aims to promote adventure sports in Sindh and provide a platform for drivers to showcase their skills. The event also seeks to boost tourism in the Thar region and support local businesses.

Safety and logistical arrangements are a priority for the organizers. Measures are being taken to ensure both participants and spectators can enjoy the event safely. Visitors are encouraged to witness the races and experience the cultural programs.

The Thar Jeep Rally has gained recognition as one of Sindh’s major sporting events, attracting participants and enthusiasts from all over Pakistan. Organizers hope the 2026 edition will inspire more people to engage in motorsports and explore the unique landscapes of the Thar Desert.
