ISLAMABAD – The Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) has announced an increase in financial assistance for eligible beneficiaries during Ramadan.
BISP has raised the quarterly Kafalat programme payment by Rs1,000, increasing it from Rs13,500 to Rs14,500. This adjustment is aimed at supporting low-income households amid rising inflation and helping them cover essential needs.
In addition, BISP has increased grants under the Benazir Educational Stipend and Benazir Nutrition Programme by up to Rs500, providing additional support for children’s education and nutrition.
BISP also conducted a live online “e-Kacheri” session at its Islamabad headquarters, chaired by Rubina Khalid, to address complaints and concerns of beneficiaries. During the session, BISP urged women who have not yet received free SIM cards for their digital wallets to contact their nearest BISP office without delay.
These measures by BISP aim to ensure that the financial and social support programs effectively reach deserving families during the holy month.
