Adviser to the Prime Minister, Sanaullah, confirmed that several terrorists have been arrested, and further action will follow ongoing investigations. Speaking during a Senate session, he emphasized that soft language against terrorism creates ambiguity, which strengthens militant groups.
Recalling the national unity after the APS tragedy, Sanaullah said it paved the way for Operation Zarb-e-Azb, which brought terrorism in Pakistan close to an end. He stressed that terrorists must be called enemies of the state without hesitation, and action against them should be decisive and timely.
Sanaullah criticized the notion of labeling terrorist attacks on innocent civilians as “discontent.” He clarified that militants were killed because they acted as agents of an enemy country. He praised Pakistan’s armed forces for demonstrating both wisdom and strength in dealing with such threats.
He warned that foreign adversaries are running operations through misguided individuals inside Pakistan, which he termed ‘Operation Sindoor.’ Sanaullah said these elements aim to destabilize the country and that dialogue with them is not possible.
Detailing recent incidents, Sanaullah stated that under ‘Operation Sindoor-II,’ terrorists attacked police and civilians, attempting to enter the Red Zone in Quetta. The attack was foiled, and 177 terrorists were neutralized. Sadly, 33 civilians and 17 security personnel were martyred during these operations.
He also highlighted that militants spread propaganda against Pakistan on social media to tarnish its image globally. Sanaullah stressed that counter-terrorism operations are essential to maintain state authority and public safety.
