FPSC Issues New Instructions for CSS 2026 Exams

The Federal Public Service Commission has issued additional instructions for candidates appearing in the CSS 2026 written examinations, which are scheduled to begin on February 4. The new directives are aimed at ensuring smooth conduct of the examinations and strict compliance with examination rules.

According to the FPSC, candidates must ensure that their national identity cards or passports are valid and renewed before expiry. The commission made it clear that entry into examination halls will not be allowed on the basis of expired identity documents under any circumstances.

The commission has also instructed candidates to reach their designated examination seats at least 50 minutes before the start of each paper. This measure is intended to facilitate verification procedures and avoid last-minute disruptions at examination centers.

FPSC further emphasized that candidates will not be permitted to carry any extra material into the examination hall. Only items explicitly allowed under the examination rules will be permitted, and strict checks will be conducted at entry points.

Candidates have been urged to carefully follow all previously issued guidelines in addition to the newly announced instructions. The commission warned that failure to comply with the rules may result in disqualification or denial of entry.

The CSS examination is considered one of the country’s most competitive exams, and FPSC officials advised candidates to remain vigilant, prepared, and disciplined throughout the examination process.
