Pakistan Makes Saudi Visa Biometrics Mandatory for Hajj Pilgrims

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has released key instructions for individuals planning to perform Hajj in 2026, announcing that completion of the Saudi visa biometric process is now compulsory for all selected pilgrims. Officials made it clear that no visa will be issued unless this requirement is fulfilled.

According to a ministry spokesperson, every pilgrim must submit their biometric information through the official “Saudi Visa Bio” mobile application. The app is designed to gather fingerprints and other identifying data needed by Saudi authorities to process visa applications efficiently and without delays.

Authorities noted that while most applicants are expected to complete the process smoothly, some may face technical difficulties, including problems with fingerprint recognition or system errors. Pilgrims encountering such issues have been directed to visit the nearest Tashir Center for manual biometric registration. They must complete this step no later than February 8 to avoid complications.

The ministry stressed that missing the deadline will lead to the rejection or non-issuance of the Hajj visa. In such cases, the responsibility will rest entirely with the pilgrim, and the government will not be held accountable for any delays caused by incomplete documentation.

Officials further explained that the biometric requirement has been introduced under regulations set by the Saudi government. The objective is to improve the accuracy of personal records, strengthen security checks, and speed up immigration procedures during the pilgrimage season, ensuring smoother travel arrangements for all participants.

To prevent last-minute problems, pilgrims have been strongly encouraged to complete their biometric submission as early as possible. Early registration will help avoid technical setbacks and ensure that visa processing proceeds on time, allowing pilgrims to focus on preparing for their spiritual journey without unnecessary stress or delays.
