The Punjab Education Department has launched a new digital application to track and evaluate teachers’ performance across the province.
The initiative introduces the Teaching Practice Analysis Form app, which is integrated into the Human Resource Management System (HRMS) portal. All teachers in Punjab are now required to upload daily records of their teaching activities on the platform.
As part of the evaluation, teachers must also submit a short video of their classroom teaching, with a maximum file size of 5 MB. Officials say this will help Punjab digitally document professional skills and improve the quality of education through transparent assessment.
The Education Department added that the system will standardize monitoring across schools and enhance accountability among the teaching workforce.
In addition, the Punjab government has approved a stipend package exceeding Rs. 4.21 billion for college intern teachers. This program will benefit over 8,000 interns and aims to encourage young graduates and intermediate-level students to gain practical teaching experience.
Under the scheme, intermediate-level interns will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 55,000 for seven months, while BS-level interns will be paid Rs. 65,000 for ten months. Upon completion, interns will be awarded experience certificates to boost employability.
The internship program also promotes inclusivity, with 404 seats reserved for minorities, 243 for persons with disabilities, and 40 for transgender individuals. Authorities say this ensures equal opportunities for all participants.

Officials highlighted that the combination of the digital app and the internship program aims to strengthen teaching standards, encourage new talent, and create a more accountable and effective education system across Punjab.
