Former senator Mushtaq Ahmed Khan has formally announced the launch of a new political party, marking a fresh entry into Pakistan’s political landscape. He said the new platform aims to bring constitutional reforms and restore public trust in governance.
Speaking at a press conference, Former senator Mushtaq Ahmed Khan said the party will be called the Pakistan Rights Movement. He described the announcement as the beginning of a long political struggle focused on reform, justice, and constitutional rule.
He said the Pakistan Rights Movement will work strictly under the 1973 Constitution of Pakistan. According to him, the constitution already offers a complete framework for governance and Islamic principles. He stressed that the real issue lies in the failure to implement it properly.
The former senator said his party’s goal is to transform Pakistan into an Islamic welfare state. He explained that Islam, democracy, and constitutional governance can work together. He added that honest leadership and accountability are essential for this vision.
Former senator Mushtaq Ahmed Khan alleged that certain groups are preventing the country from moving forward under constitutional principles. He said such interference has damaged democratic institutions and weakened public confidence in the system.
Addressing democratic rights, he said the people’s mandate must be respected at all levels. He stressed that democracy cannot survive if public decisions are ignored or manipulated. Respect for the vote, he said, is the foundation of political stability.
He also outlined the social priorities of his new party. These include better access to education and healthcare for all citizens. He said economic reforms are necessary to reduce poverty and unemployment. Social justice and equal opportunities, he added, must guide national policies.
The former senator placed strong emphasis on justice reforms. He called for free, fair, and speedy justice across the country. He said delayed justice creates inequality and weakens public trust in state institutions.
