Speaking about the role, Abbas explained that Saira discovers a bomb that has been planted somewhere and must take responsibility for defusing it.

Abbas said the role allowed her to portray a woman working in a demanding field where courage, technical ability and professional confidence are essential.
The storyline of Gear Up therefore focuses on both the immediate challenge faced by Saira and the wider issue of women proving themselves in professions traditionally perceived as male-dominated.
What Zara Noor Abbas Would Do as a Police Officer
During the interview, Abbas was asked what she would do if she were given the opportunity to become a police officer for one day.
In response, the actor spoke strongly about sexual violence against women and children.
Abbas said that if she had such an opportunity, she would take severe action against people involved in cases of abuse against women and children.
She expressed a desire for the harshest possible punishment for those responsible, saying she would not want such offenders to escape accountability.
