70 People Died In Nepal Due To 6.4 Magnitude Earthquake

Late Friday, a potent 6.4-magnitude earthquake struck Nepal, claiming the lives of approximately 70 individuals. The seismic activity was substantial enough to generate tremors in various Indian cities, including Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, and Bihar. Fortunately, no reports of damage have emerged.

The earthquake’s epicenter was located in Nepal at a depth of 10 km, causing people in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) to experience strong tremors, prompting them to evacuate their homes in fear.

This event marks the third earthquake to shake Nepal within a month. In November 2022, a 5.6-magnitude earthquake in Doti district claimed six lives.

In 2015, Nepal endured a devastating 7.8-magnitude earthquake that resulted in the loss of nearly 9,000 lives and the displacement of over half a million households.
