1.2 Million Pakistanis Emigrate Amid Current Government’s Tenure

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]In the first half of this year, Pakistan experienced a significant brain drain as over 832,000 individuals, including 400,000 highly qualified young professionals, left the country in search of job prospects overseas.

This trend, known as the ‘brain drain,’ has been a persistent issue over the past several years, resulting in a total of 2.75 million young Pakistanis leaving the country in the last five years.

Factors such as uncertain economic conditions, high inflation, and unemployment are cited as the primary reasons behind this exodus. The data reveals that skilled workers from diverse fields, including accountants, engineers, doctors, technicians, and managers, have contributed to this mass migration.

Arab countries, particularly Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, and Qatar, have been the preferred destinations for a majority of these individuals, while a smaller portion opted for European countries like Great Britain.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
