Zong Launches 4G Network in Gilgit Baltistan, Enhancing Digital Connectivity
Zong, Pakistan’s leading cellular and digital services provider, has officially launched its network in Gilgit Baltistan, marking a significant milestone in the region’s digital development. The launch event took place on September 27th at the Gilgit Serena Hotel, attended by notable dignitaries, including Mr. Ghulam Muhammad, the Minister of Law and Tourism for Gilgit Baltistan, who was the chief guest.
- Commercial Activation of 59 4G Sites: Zong celebrated the activation of 59 4G sites across Gilgit Baltistan, with further expansion plans set for next year. This move aims to empower local communities and enhance connectivity in the region, contributing to socio-economic development.
- Distinguished Guests: The event was attended by various officials, including Miss Suraya Zaman (Advisor IT), Mr. Gul Abid Wazir (Zonal Director PTA Gilgit), Lt. Col. Muhammad Ali Ahmed (Commanding Officer of Special Communication Organization), and Riaz Ahmad (Secretary IT).
