Zara Noor Abbas has finally addressed speculation surrounding her friendship with Sajal Aly.
The actress recently appeared on Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast, where the topic came up during a lighthearted conversation. When asked about Sajal and how long it had been since they last spoke, Zara responded with a smile, saying, “Alhamdulillah, she’s doing well, and we actually spoke not long ago.” Ahmed jokingly reacted by calling her answer a lie, adding humor to the moment.
Zara went on to question why people assume that unfollowing someone on social media automatically means the relationship has ended. She expressed disappointment over public assumptions, stating that people often jump to negative conclusions about her and believe she must have said something wrong. According to her, gossip is common in the industry, and people tend to talk about one another.
Reflecting on what the situation taught her, Zara shared a thoughtful perspective. She said that not everyone who appears friendly is genuinely a friend, especially in showbiz. Using a metaphor, she remarked that in the entertainment world, even a handshake requires caution.
She also admitted that she once considered everyone in her social circle close to her, but her husband, Asad, used to advise her to be more careful. Now, she feels he was right in warning her about trusting people too easily.
